The Halo Group provided venue design services on the Magic Roundabout project on Old Street Roundabout in London. The following blog features video from the build and launch party.
Magic Roundabout’s website states: “Located literally in the middle of Old Street Roundabout and accessed via a secret staircase in the tube station, The Magic Roundabout is London’s most unique and newest party space, offering award winning street food, artisan coffee, beautiful cocktails and craft beers! As if that wasn’t enough, our line-up of DJs is plucked from some of London’s biggest clubs & will be on the decks each evening, playing a superb mix of disco, house and groove. Eats – Beats – Booze”

The original venue design was provided by The Halo Group. Originally, the licence permitted up to one year so the space was designed as a pop-up venue. That was back in 2015 and in 2018, the venue is still in situ so the organisers are clearly doing something right. This is testament to our design team and is something we are very proud of.
Our team literally started from scratch clearing the site and constructing the key features onsite before providing a wide range of creative production elements to style the space. Our knowledge of venue design ensured the flow of the site was maximised within such a confined space. The venue quickly went on to receive widespread coverage in the press in Time Out, Crummbs, Design My Night, and even Trip Advisor due to its highly unique location. It’s fair to say, the space has evolved since our original venue design but the core concept remains the same – a unique venue design that makes the most of one of London’s most unexpected locations. The following video features highlights from the build and the launch party.
