Working in partnership with the Background Bars team, The Halo Group transformed a 10,000 square foot car park in East London into an immersive outdoor winter wonderland pop-up. We provided temporary structure hire, design and build services for this exciting project.
As well as offering temporary structure hire services, our brief was to provide site styling for the project as a whole. The build needed to include a street food market for multiple traders, a temporary two-tier mezzanine structure, multiple seating areas, 3 bars and a dance floor. The styling echoed our client’s take on the traditional winter market.
To achieve the end result we utilised our modular steel structure system. Our system is highly versatile and can be built to any configuration or design. Almost any material can be used to clad our system and it can even be built over multiple levels without the need for plant and heavy machinery. For this project we chose to clad the structures onsite in waney edge boards to create a winter market look and feel. Our production team crafted a series of bespoke chalet seating booths for guests comfort and our art team styled the site with a series of installations, signs and production elements. The pop-up has since gone on to win “Best Pop Up” 2013 & 2014 and is testament to our temporary structure hire service.
