Oh My Dog! do hot dogs like you’ve never had before. This American street food staple has been given a gourmet twist in their expert hands with updates featuring the likes of slow roasted cherry tomato and vodka relish, handmade demi-brioche buns and prime, heritage-breed frankfurters. The Halo Group partnered with the street food connoisseurs to undertake a shipping container conversion project in the summer of 2017.
Once the look and feel of the design was signed off, our brief was to modify and refit the container with our specialist partners. Two apertures were cut into the unit before fitting bespoke hatches. At each end, the traditional container style doors were removed and replaced with security doors. Power cabling, sockets and lining were installed to create a blank canvas for the final finish.
To achieve the end result the container was resprayed and the exterior was then clad in stained timber panels. The back wall was clad using specialist tiles with an almost copper like quality. A high degree of attention was paid to the finer details of the build, such as the metallic, industrial inspired Edison bulbs fitted to the unit. The Halo Group also created 2 bespoke signs for Oh My Dog! Including an oversized logo and a “Hot Dogs” light box sign, each of which were fitted to the roof of the container.
