Th Halo Group designed a shipping container bar for The Hop Locker in 2017 which was voted best bar / pub for Waterloo and Southwark in the Time Out Love London Awards. The Hop Locker made its name at SC Food Market and has recently moved into our eye catching converted shipping container on London's Southbank. All services were provided by The Halo Group and specialist partner suppliers.
After the shipping container bar had been resprayed, 4 apertures were cut and we fitted 4 bespoke hatches. The Halo Group’s brief was to fit out both the interior and exterior of the shipping container. The brief required a complete renovation including the installation of all lighting, electrical cabling, power sockets and the lining of the unit to create a blank canvas for our production team to apply the finish.
To achieve the end result The Halo Group’s production team clad the back bar wall in birch ply before applying The Hop Locker logo using a vinyl overlay. Stainless steel worktops were then fitted to house the craft ale taps before tiling the front fascia. To complete the look further vinyl triangles were applied to the tiled frontage to add character to the design. The unit was sprayed in vivid turquoise, The Hop Locker’s brand colour which ensured the converted shipping container really stood out against the back drop of London’s Southbank.
