The Halo Group specialises in set production and worked with independent agency Initials who marked Abarth’s 70th anniversary with a one-off escape room-style driving experience called The Takeback on the 11th January 2020.
Bicester Heritage is a very large venue. Our brief was to create a set that would both fill the space and form a series of driving obstacles for the experience. The look and feel our client wanted to achieve for the campaign was in keeping with the industrial location. The venue itself, offered a base aesthetic which leant perfectly to the event design. Our client wanted us to enhance this setting and create a series of set pieces and set production backdrops to help tell the story.
To achieve the end result, we had to think BIG. We opted to use a variety of large items including shipping containers, wooden pallets, racking units, vehicle tyres, concrete effect walling panels and mechanics’ tools. We also created a series of steel bridges and other temporary structures within the venue using lightweight RSJ beams. This ensured the space was both functional and looked authentic.
Following previous campaigns working with Initials on projects for Walkers Crisps and Naked Juice we are delighted to add Abarth to the list of highly successful collaborations and we look forward to working together again in the future.
