The Last Supper Club

Pop Up Diner

The Last Supper Club project saw The Halo Group create a fully immersive environment for a pop-up diner in the heart of East London with a Mayan prophecy themed set-build.

The Mayan prophecy predicted the end of the world in 2012. Taking inspiration from this, The Halo Group created a set that incorporated multiple art installations playing off the themes of time, the fragility of materialistic possessions and the prospect of Doomsday.

Halo services provided...

  • Concept development & design
  • Set build & installation
  • Art installation
  • Production and styling
  • Venue sourcing and management

The Brief

The Halo Group’s brief was to provide production services for this joint venture with pop-up caterers Platterform. Our responsibilities included placing the series of events in a central London venue, styling the venue and creating the overall set build and experience.

The Solution

To achieve the effect, we created a bespoke bar clad with clock faces and foliage, an “ark’ themed seating area for couples ( seated two by two naturally), a video cassette backdrop complete with a DJ booth made of 19 retro TV screens, a “nostalgia wall” created from 1000s of personal photos and an archaic gold Mayan pyramid made from a collection on iconic possessions. Each installation helped tie the event into a cohesive concept.
