Microsoft Surface

Expo Stand Design

The Halo Group provide expo stand design services. Microsoft Surface recently showcased their latest Surface Pro and Surface Pro Studio devices at the 2017 D&AD Festival. D&AD celebrates and nurtures outstanding work in the design and advertising industry each year, therefore providing the ideal demographic and environment for Microsoft to exhibit at. This exciting project utilised many of our core services.

Attendees were invited to use Microsoft products to create their own designs at the show which were then printed onsite by Canon on their Image Press C650 printer with stunning results.

The Brief

Our brief was to create a modern style studio space in keeping with Microsoft’s brand guidelines and their current campaign. With many globally renowned brands also exhibiting at the show, the competition was stiff so key consideration was given to aspects such as build quality, detail and craftsmanship as well as choice of materials.

The Solution

To create the experience, The Halo Group partnered with Rare Breed, Microsoft’s lead agency on the project to design and build an interactive exhibition stand at the event. To create the frame, The Halo Group built a raised 6.5mx2.5m deck with self-supporting walls in a horseshoe layout to house the stand. For the finish, The Halo Group created sleek white walls using a PVC wrap along with designer furniture, modern lighting, minimalist work surfaces, chrome trim and wood effect flooring to set the tone of the space. To complete the look, The Halo Group dressed the set with items you would typically find in a design studio to achieve an authentic look and feel. Canon provided print for the branding, logos and creative messaging for the activation which were applied onsite by Impact GB.
