The Event Production Show and International Confex are co-located trade shows held at Olympia each year. The show attracts 1000s of professionals from the Events industry. The Halo Group are specialist exhibition stand builders offering creative exhibition stand design services. In 2015 we provided our products to the show organisers using our unique exhibition build system.
Our brief was to design and build a structure to fit a 26m x 11m footprint within Olympia. Used for socialising, meetings and relaxation, our client wanted to create an unusual and creative exhibition stand design. The structure needed to easily house a fully functional bar, allow for service on all four sides and benefit from ample seating and space for guests. With many exhibition stand builders showcasing their products at the show we set out to ensure our design really stood out from the crowd.
To create the end result we constructed a 10mx5m rustic festival style bar which was clad in waney edge timber boards before being laid on real grass to give an alfresco feel to the production. One of the biggest benefits of using our structure system is that it can be clad and finished in almost any material, thus giving our production team a flexible and highly versatile canvas to work with. We chose wood for this design to bring the outdoors in! Further detailing was then added by our team of exhibition stand builders including living foliage, ivy and floral detail which helped bring the stand to life. Festoon lighting, bespoke signage and a creative photo backdrop were also incorporated. A fully functional bar was inbuilt with surfaces, storage and other essential infrastructure thus making it a ready to use product for the show’s bar team.
