The Halo Group's event structures offer unique solutions for a wide range of uses at events, festivals, exhibitions, hospitality days and sporting occasions. In 2016 we designed and built a two storey hospitality structure and press area at Goodwood Racecourse. The project was so successful it was repeated again in 2017 and will also feature at the 2018 event along with a range of other modular event structures designed and built by The Halo Group using our unique structure system.
Our client’s brief required us to design a structure to house a ground floor VIP bar with the addition of a mezzanine level which would be used as a media & press centre by TV crew on account of its prime views of the parade ring lawn. With many other high-end sponsored event structures, temporary venues and luxury marquees onsite, a key part to the brief was to ensure the finish was in keeping with the surroundings and of course the prestigious reputation of the occasion. The structure also featured a stretch tent roofing system which, when combined with our unique modular steel frame helped create a weatherproof solution throughout the event – a factor which was of paramount importance to our client. Our event structures are compatible with a wide range of different roofing solutions suitable for many different types of use. As well as offering our own range of roofing panels and cover options we also partner with a small handful of specially selected industry leading suppliers so we are able to give our clients the broadest choice possible. This also enables our in-house design team to create a wide range of different styles and finishes to cater for any taste or preference during the briefing and design process. All of our event structures are constructed using our unique modular steel frame system. In its simplest form it is made up of many different lengths of lightweight RSJ beams combined with specialist connector bolts and other components. It can be built in almost any configuration or design and can be used on a wide range of different projects. Almost any cladding, branding or production feature can be easily fitted to our frames giving our system a distinct, fully customisable advantage compared with other temporary structures such as marquees. Windows, doors and other cladding panels easily slot into our frames so we are able to create highly functional event spaces in any layout. With multiple staircase and access options also available, our system ticks every box, every time. Flexible, versatile and highly adaptable – our event structures offer unrivalled levels of creativity.
To achieve the end result we incorporated premium features such as glass balustrades, aluminium hand rails and chrome trim into our design to ensure a high quality finish inline with the brief. We opted to use one of our standard formations which are easily assembled on any type of surface or terrain. Our range of off the shelf models will answer most briefs and fit a majority of project requirements however when necessary we are also offer a fully bespoke service to adapt our steel frames to fit almost any footprint.
At the Qatar Goodwood Festival, our system provided the ideal solution for the client in terms of both function and aesthetics. Here we created a 5mx15m mezzanine level viewing platform which was positioned on a 10mx15m wooden deck for the comfort of the VIP guests. Once erected by our specialist steel team, our frame was fitted out with studwork and marine ply flats before being painted crisp white.

For branding, creative finishes and bespoke cladding we partner with a specially selected handful of leading suppliers and companies to enable us to offer a turnkey solution through these established partnerships. If required, we are also able to work with 3rd party suppliers very easily thanks to the intuitive features of all our components which are universally recognised across different industries. Practices such as working in sheet sized dimensions offer advantages to suppliers working with our system for the first time. All our beams also have a standard M16 bolt hole at every 500mm thus allowing any branding, cladding, AV, lighting or production feature to be quickly and easily secured to our structures. Our technical design team are always on hand to provide millimetre perfect technical drawings when working with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the project details are clear and concise before any work commences on site. Our in-house digital design team works in Sketchup, Auto CAD, Cinema 4D, Vector Works and even Virtual Reality to produce concepts for our clients & other suppliers that truly stand out from the crowd. As with all our bespoke event structures & temporary venues we are able to offer tailor made solutions perfectly suited to any requirements.
