London creative agency This Is Mission commissioned The Halo Group to produce an event to celebrate 250 years of Ruinart Rose. The Halo Group specialises in event management and offers a full portfolio of products and services to meet all our clients' event needs including event production and styling.
Our brief was to create an on-brand environment and authentic set build for the The Ruinart Rose 1764 Salon. The client wanted to allow guests to experience Ruinart Rose Champagne as it would have been experienced in the 18th Century. Our client wanted to stimulate guests’ senses so key considerations were given to this area.
Representing the sense “taste” was an easy one, as guests sipped fine Champagne. To stimulate guests’ sense of “smell”, our beautiful floral dressing produced an exquisite aroma, perfuming the air. The installation of our chic set design helped produce a visually appealing aesthetic, representing the sense of “sight” whilst premium furniture, fixtures and fittings provided a luxurious finish appealing to the sense of “touch”. Our chosen production materials evoked a bygone era and included aged crates, reclaimed wood and further foliage detail. The interior featured decadent drapes, props, vintage furniture and a beautiful hand-crafted shelving unit made from mismatched champagne boxes, which were then hand painted in an antique style. Placed in a vintage marquee, our set-build helped frame the event in a period style setting.
