The Halo Group designed and built a bespoke exhibition stand for Conference Haul at International Confex in 2015. We specialise in creating unique stands and original product displays for exhibitors at trade fairs, exhibitions and product showcases, but this was the first time we had been asked to recreate an articulated lorry!
Our brief was to incorporate one of our client’s new vehicles into our bespoke exhibition stand design to give them an opportunity to show their latest innovations, products and services to prospective customers. The final plan needed to be visually eye-catching and was also required to function as a meeting space. The stand needed to be easily assembled in a tight build window.
To achieve the end result, we chose to utilise our modular steel build system to create the trailer / meeting room for the stand. Our system is made up of lightweight RSJ beams and connector bolts and can be constructed in any configuration, layout or design. For this project, we engineered a solution which floated above the rear of the tractor giving the illusion it was coupled to the vehicle. From this base, we then fabricated the artic trailer from ply before wrapping it in branded vinyl and foamex boards. An office style set was created within the space to provide the client with the meeting area they required. This also featured screens and AV equipment. A staircase was then included at the rear of the stand for access.
