As Night Tales opens their latest venue in Bohemia Place (which was designed and built by The Halo Group), we take a look back to some of the previous event themes we have created for one of our longest running clients. This blog features historic behind the scenes video footage of our Summer Tales set build for the organisers.
Multi award winning food, drink and entertainment pop-up & permanent venue operators Background Bars are trendsetters when it comes to event themes and creative set designs. Their hugely successful series of Night Tales events have taken on many different styles over the years. Concepts have included the original pop-up venue in Hackney, their critically acclaimed Tokyo Nights series which took inspiration from Japanese culture and the back streets of Tokyo and their winter lodge styled Christmas site design. The Halo Group has been working in partnership with Night Tales since their heady days in Hackney. Today we are designing and building permanent venues for the founders, such as Bohemia Place.
Summer Tales by Night Tales
Back in the summer of 2015, Time Out wrote: “The London street food revolution hasn’t just changed the way we think about restaurants….it’s also transformed the London nightlife scene. Giant pop-ups Street Feast and Night Tales have become huge successes thanks to their killer combination of street food, drinking and music” This is testament to both the founders of Night Tales, Background Bars and The Halo Group team who have been heavily involved in this trend.
In this blog we take a nostalgic look back to one of our favourite event themes, Summer Tales. This sun-drenched urban tropical inspired setting set in the heart of East London was a revolution at the time, bringing one of the most forward thinking event themes to the pop-up market. The project saw the creation of a multi level jungle set build featuring a range of The Halo Group’s temporary structures.
